OCTAGON is D&R’s top of the line digitally controlled analog large multi-format
production console. The OCTAGON is aimed at the film and post market as well as
serving music recording studio’s with multi-format surround sound options. A mixing
console that can be built up out of a number of modules according to your choice!
D&R can customize your frame configuation to order. The OCTAGON is the culmination
of 25 years of music recording console design in combination with the users feedback
from Cinemix customers. With in-depth knowledge of audio post-production we have
managed to create this new multi-format audio console that combines the advantages
of an analog audio path with fast repeatable digital control. The result is a
highly flexible multi-format console for music recording studios, film mixing
studios and post-production houses that are using film style techniques. | |

D&R OrionX | The D&R "Orion" is a 16 buss in-line format recording and mixing console with all the functions and features needed for today's demanding multitrack and MIDI recording sessions. With the minimum of audio path, the circuitry not only provides tremendous headroom and crystal clear sound, but noise and distortion so low that it almost matches the quality of a straight wire. In creating the "Orion", D&R undertook comprehensive studies of both its own and competitors products, followed by a radical reappraisal of every element of the design. The Orion's electronics (like all D&R products) incorporate advanced circuitry and components using the latest in computer aided design and assembly techniques resulting in a product unsurpassed in the electronics industry. The ORION X input module with LCR panning, is the latest addition to D&R's popular Orion series and excels equally well in both recording and post production environments. Like all D&R consoles, the ORION X is handcrafted in The Netherlands and utilizes "State of the Art" technology, featuring a design that will take it through the nineties and well into the 21st century. | |
D&R Vision Recording / Sound Reinforcement Mixer | The
Vision is one of the newest additions to D&R's collection of high quality recording
& mixing consoles. A progressive sound reinforcement/recording console and
designed for the most discriminating live sound and studio applications, the Vision
can fit into many different sound environments. The D&R design team choose high
quality components and manufacturing techniques for the Vision, such as socket
mounted Analog Devices active components and ALPS pots and switches as well as
glass epoxy printed circuit boards (plated on both sides where necessary). The
Vision is available in 3 frame sizes ranging from 19" rack mount (will hold 12
modules) up to a full 44 module version. The Vision can be ordered with the standard
master module plus any combination of input and. group modules. In addition, a
deluxe master module is available with extra features. Due to the many different
requirements in live sound and recording applications, the design team designed
several different types of modules. As an added benefit, custom modules can be
designed for specific needs. | |

SCORPIUS Digital ON-AIR Broadcast Mixer The Scorpius is a fully digital On-Air mixer. It's concept originates from the top-range broadcast consoles available on the market today. The core of the Scorpius is a sophisticated DSP engine. This processing engine involves the latest developments in DSP technology by Texas Instruments. An intense cooperation between T.I. and D&R has resulted in a digital audio mixer offering tremendous DSP power and a superb sonic quality. Although the Scorpius is a digital console, it is operated with the same comfort as a conventional analog broadcast mixer. No fundamental concessions have been made towards reliability, high speed controller-response and system stability. |
The SIRIUS all digital on-air console is just as easy to use as your analog console. It is astonishing simple in operation, yet has all the power software can offer you. A simple directly accessible and modular control surface enables customizing to station requirements. Access to more complex functions for technical users is available on the optional Super Module Control Surface. Purchasing choices are straightforward: Modular input and output control surfaces, a modular control room section, a modular "super module" control surface and a 19" rack with all the interface modules to communicate with the outside world. All pots are motorized for ease of identification. A maximum of two control surface frames (holding 16 input faders) can be installed. A total of 64 inputs can be assigned to any of the 16 input faders. The output section has 4 Program busses, 8 Group busses, 8 Cleanfeed busses and 6 Aux. busses that can be assigned to any of the 64 outputs. | |

An ideal replacement for high and low quality mixing console pre-amps. Integral 48 volt phantom power and phase switching is standard.
